So…kind of awkward that just yesterday I was raging to all of you about how Jai Paul hasn’t released anything new, because his debut just dropped! Everyone go buy it!!! I did. So worth it. Beware, there are rumors that it’s not really him, and some people who think that if it is really him then it’s a disappointment…but I disagree. It’s stunning, mysterious, and leaves you needing more. It’s Jai Paul.
“Jasmine” - Jai Paul
I don’t know when the hell Jai Paul is going to put out new music, but even with only “Jasmine” and “BTSTU” to go off of it’s clear his mind works in beautiful ways. The way this song builds is so inertial, but every now and then (like 0:50) everything ceases and you find yourself holding your breath waiting for more. Truly such a perfect exercise in restraint. I hope you enjoyed it on the air today.
